Brian,

whos friend Drew prepared us a wondeful dinner.

John,

the programmer and bicyclist from Seattle showed us with his family the beatiful market at the Saettle harbour.

Bev and Wallace

who were like parents for us. With their help we could visit all the wonderful places in Olympic National Park which we would have missed on bicycles. Thank you so much. (ma)

Pat and Andrea

from Vancouver who cycled around the Olympic Peninsula in their holidays.

Deva and Dale

from Raymond let us tent in their yard and prepared us a real huge bicyclists dinner. We had very tastful salmon and lots of salad. And as desert Butterfingers! (ma)

Salomon and his Grandma Trish

She founded some years ago the first "Bicycle Rest". She allows cyclists coming along the West Coast to tent in her yard. Just to meet people from all over the world. After she moved her grandson Salomon wants to continue the "Rest". We wish him good luck and many interesting visitors. (ma)

Faith, friend of Trish

Together with Trish she started the Bicycle Rest Aeras. For us it was a one day trip from Salomon to Faith. And so we had to visit her. While the dinner we had a wonderful view to the beatiful sunset over Nehalem Bay. (ma)

Theresa, Vernon and their children Hope und Brad

When we saw all the Americans preparing their Barbeque on July 4th Markus became sad. It seemed to be that we have to spend this importand holiday 'alone' at the campground whithout the chance to view the fireworks. But on cycling around in Newport we met Vernon's mother. We talked about our trip and then they offered us to pitch our tent in their yard. And from the front of their house we hat the best view over the Bay and the Newport fireworks. It was a wonderful night. (ma)
