Nice people on our way through Germany |
||
Christian Hannig, the travelling authorNearly always we see Ortlieb bags on our tours we can be shure to meet a german cyclist. Same on the last test tour in Canada 2002. We met Christian and recogniced his red bags from fare away. He also started in Vancouver one day before and his spezial aim was to meet some old nativs. He wanted to get more information about the stories they only tell and don't write down. It was part of his aktual book projekt which he writes for National Geographic after his return to Germany 3 months later. After we have been back we noticed, that Markus has read two books of him and Markus's mother has some more at home. |

Klaus Kuras, the globecyclistWe met Klaus via Internet while he was cycling in South America in Spring 2002. After we have seen his wonderful homepage (in English) with all the pictures of the region we also wanted to cycle on our trip we noticed, that he lives in Germany only 40km away from us. It started a wonderful friendship with a lot of joined interests. At last he started our idea of making a homepage. And now, when we beginn he also starts to a one year (or longer) trip around Europe. If you like you can follow him on his homepage. |
